SPED Pipeline Grant

Resource Training and Solutions has recently been awarded the Special Education Teacher Preparation Pipeline Grant from the Minnesota Department of Education. The goal of this grant is to develop a pipeline of trained, licensed Tier 3 or Tier 4 special education teachers. Staff from our district partners will have the opportunity to apply for a fully funded graduate licensure program. We have partnered with Bethel University, University of St. Thomas, Bemidji State University, and St. Cloud State University to train our regional educators.

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently employed with a SPED Pipeline supporting school district
  • Demonstrate a willingness to be a special education teacher after completing the program
  • No Tier III or IV teaching license in Minnesota

What you will receive:

  • Financial support for tuition, fees, and educational expenses paid directly to higher education partners
  • One-on-one advising support throughout the program
  • Support between college staff and employer
  • Stay in your current position while going back to school
