Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) is a framework or approach that enhances academic and social behavior outcomes for all students. At the heart of PBIS is the goal of teaching behavioral expectations in the same manner in which we teach academic subjects.

A Minnesota PBIS State Leadership Team provides the leadership and collaboration for this work in schools. In order to provide support at a regional level, the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) provides funding and works with regional project groups and the Wilder Research Center.

Resource Training and Solutions hosts the northern regional implementation project. As a regional host site, Resource expands the logistical support, technical assistance, training, and coaching to school districts.
