Resource Training & Solutions is proud to offer comprehensive programs, valuable resources, and implementation support tailored for schools and districts across central Minnesota. Our mission is to recruit and retain top-notch educators in our regional schools.  We engage closely with school leaders and mentors to ensure new educators receive meaningful interactions that cultivate reflective practices and continuous growth, ultimately enhancing the learning experience for students.  Resource Training & Solutions collaborates with the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), and the New Teacher Center to drive initiatives focused on effective new teacher onboarding and mentoring.

School & Program Leaders

Setting Up for Success: Mentor Program Development Workshop:

Join us for this half-day workshop to create an implementation plan for a high-quality Instructional Mentorship and Induction program for early career educators.  The focus will be on creating a plan for the 25 - 26 school year and setting up a system that can be sustained in future years.  This workshop is for any school leaders, mentors, or coaches who are tasked with helping onboard and support new teachers. Schools are encouraged to bring a team to work together to create their plan.

  • Dates:  2 options to attend May 15, 2025 8 am - 12 pm  or June 10, 2025 8 am - 12 pm
  • Cost: Full: $0 Assoc: $75 Non: $96

Mentors & Instructional Coaches

Foundational Coaching Institute for Mentor Leaders, Mentor Teachers and Instructional Coaches

This four-day training centers on mentoring with an equity lens, exploring mentoring roles, using high-leverage tools to engage in mentoring cycles, and creating an optimal learning environment for students and teachers. Through the four-day training, mentors will acquire the tools and strategies needed to foster inclusive learning environments and promote equitable outcomes for every learner. Participants can choose to take all 4 days in one week or break the training into Days 1 & 2 then Days 3 & 4.  See all sign up options below.

Regional Mentor Forums

The Regional Mentor and Instructional Coach Forums are designed to give mentors and instructional coaches an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through collaboration and problem-solving with regional peers.  Throughout the year, participants can attend five one-hour forums facilitated by Kelsey Harps, Mentoring Coach at Resource Training & Solutions, that include about 30 minutes of targeted learning on topics, followed by time for collaboration on current challenges. Forums will be offered twice each day to accommodate various schedules, 7 am - 8 am & 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm.

Special Education Rising Educators & Mentors Forums

Designed to give early career special education teachers and mentors of special education teachers an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through collaboration and problem-solving with regional peers.  Throughout the school year, participants can attend four one-hour forums facilitated by Resource Training & Solutions coaches, that include about 30 minutes of targeted learning on topics, followed by time for collaboration on current challenges in breakout discussions.

  • Dates: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
    • Tuesday, August 5, 2025 * note summer meeting is 10 am - 11 am only

Rising Educators Pathway

Rising Educators Academy

This one day workshop designed to increase confidence and capacity in early career educators; setting them up for success in the first weeks of school and beyond. Educators will engage in learning sessions to help them create an Optimal Learning Environment in their classroom that allows for the success of all learners. Rising Educators can receive continued support throughout the year through our Rising Educators Academy Plus and our Rising Educators Network Forums.

  • Date: Thursday, August 14, 2025 Kick Off Seminar 8 am - 3 pm
  • Cost: Full: $ 0 Assoc: $ 75 Non: $ 96
    • Cost reduced through Mentorship & Induction Grant.

Rising Educators Academy Plus

This workshop provides essential support for early-career educators, particularly those holding a Tier 1/2 license and participants of the Special Education Pipeline grant. This program combines three half-day training sessions with personalized coaching cycles led by a Resource Training & Solutions Mentor Coach. Educators will engage in focused learning to foster an Optimal Learning Environment in their classrooms, ensuring success for all learners.  Recommended for any Tier 1 /2 Licensed educator, teachers participating in the SPED Pipeline or any early career educator looking to improve their classroom management and standards based lessons. 

  • Dates for ½ day trainings from 11 am - 3 pm at Resource Training & Solutions
    • November 20, 2025 
    • January 29, 2026
    • April 2, 2026
  • Dates for 3 Coaching Cycles with RTS Mentoring Coaches 
    • Scheduled by the participating educator and RTS Mentoring Coach
  • Cost: Full: $100 Assoc: $133 Non: $167
    • Cost reduced through Mentorship & Induction Grant. 
    • Included for any Special Education Pipeline Educators.

Rising Educators Network Forums:

The Rising Educators Network Forums offer early career educators, those within their first three to five years in the classroom, an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through collaboration and problem-solving with regional peers.  Throughout the school year, participants can attend four one-hour forums facilitated by Kelsey Harps, Mentoring Coach at Resource Training & Solutions, that include about 30 minutes of targeted learning on topics relevant to the time of year, followed by time for collaboration on current challenges.  Forums will be offered twice each day to accommodate various schedules 

  • Dates: offered twice each day 7 am - 8 am or 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
    • Wednesday, October 1, 2025
    • Wednesday, December 3, 2025
    • Wednesday, February 11, 2026
    • Wednesday, April 15, 2026
  • Cost: Full Member: $50 Associate Member: $67 Non Member: $83
    • Cost reduced through Mentorship & Induction Grant.

Our current grant for Mentoring & Induction programs is through the Minnesota Department of Education and offers funding from July 2024 to June 2027 to support regional partnerships by creating high-quality, sustainable Mentoring and Induction programs in our regional schools that provide ongoing support for early career and new-to-position educators.  Resource Training & Solutions collaborates with the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), and the New Teacher Center to drive initiatives focused on effective new teacher onboarding and instructional mentoring. 

‍Grant Outcomes:

  • Student Outcomes: Improved student outcomes, particularly for historically underserved students.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Develop, recruit, and retain inclusive, culturally sustaining educators.‍
  • Teacher Effectiveness: Accelerate the practice of early career and new-to-position educators to cultivate optimal learning environments.‍
  • Culture: Foster more inclusive and culturally responsive instructional cultures across regional schools.

Grant schools have the opportunity to register and participate in many of the training and offerings above at no cost to the school.
