More than 500 guests gathered to celebrate one of the region’s most meaningful traditions as Resource Training & Solutions honored high school seniors at the 39th Annual Students of Excellence Award Banquet.
The evening brought together families, educators, and community members from across central Minnesota to recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to making a difference in their schools and communities. Each participating district selected its honorees using its own criteria, ensuring the recognition reflects what excellence looks like within each local community.
The program opened with a welcome from Executive Director Mark Schmitz, who acknowledged not only the accomplishments of the students, but also the educators, families, and mentors who have supported them along the way. His remarks set the tone for an evening centered on recognition, reflection, and celebration.
Guests were also treated to an engaging performance from Parker Williams, whose blend of magic and mentalism brought energy and excitement to the program.
Awards were presented by Ryan Butkowski, who recognized each student’s achievements and the positive impact they have made within their schools and communities. As each name was called, the room filled with applause—an unmistakable reminder of the pride shared across the region.
For nearly four decades, the Students of Excellence Banquet has served as a powerful reminder of the talent, dedication, and promise found within central Minnesota schools. This year’s honorees continue that legacy, representing not only academic success, but also leadership, character, and a commitment to building stronger communities.
