Plan with Purpose: A Hands-On Literacy & Curriculum Design Session for Early Childhood Teachers
Monday, August 3, 2026
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Monday, July 20, 2026
Start the school year with clarity, confidence, and intention.
Join fellow early childhood educators for a collaborative, hands-on planning experience designed to help you intentionally map out the first six weeks of school—grounded in the Science of Reading and responsive to the developmental needs of young learners.
This is not a sit-and-get workshop. You’ll be actively planning, reflecting, creating, and sharing—so you leave with materials you can actually use on Day 1.
What We’ll Do Together
During this 4-hour working session, participants will:
Revisit and refresh key literacy practices grounded in the Science of Reading
Explore how these practices look through a developmentally appropriate preschool/early childhood lens
Blend evidence-based literacy practices with your existing curriculum—or build one if you don’t have it yet
Collaborate with colleagues to design intentional, aligned plans for the first six weeks of school
Share ideas, strategies, and classroom-ready resources
What You’ll Leave With
A clear, intentional plan for the first six weeks of instruction
Increased confidence in aligning literacy practices with developmental needs
Practical strategies you can implement immediately
Fresh ideas and inspiration from fellow educators
