Professional Learning & Free Classroom Books

Supporting Meaningful Learning Through Authentic Literature

Open Windows Books has received grant funding from the Morgan Family Foundation to provide educators in the Resource Training & Solutions region with professional learning and free classroom books focused on authentic, multicultural literature.

This four-session learning experience meets from 4:00–6:00 p.m. on:

  • March 4, 2026
  • March 18, 2026
  • April 1, 2026
  • April 15, 2026

Participants will engage in collaborative learning centered on Native American Literature, Arts and Music, Environmental Diversity, and Family & Communities, building practical strategies for selecting and using high-quality texts in meaningful ways. Light snacks will be provided.

Educators will leave with both professional learning and curated books ready for immediate classroom use. This opportunity removes financial barriers while supporting literature that reflects diverse voices and experiences.

Cost: No cost to participants — books and professional learning are fully funded through the grant.

Availability: Open to educators within a 30-mile radius of St. Cloud. Limited to 20 participants.

Eligible School Districts: Albany, Annandale, Becker, Big Lake, Cold Spring, Eden Valley, Foley, Holdingford, Kimball, Maple Lake, Milaca, Monticello, Paynesville, Princeton, Royalton, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Watkins.
