Resource Training & Solutions is proud to bring the COMPASS Regional Network (Collaborative Minnesota Partnerships to Advance Student Success) to central Minnesota in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota Service Cooperatives.

Through COMPASS, schools and districts across our region gain free, evidence-based support in literacy, math, school climate, culturally responsive leadership, multi-tiered systems of support (MnMTSS), special education, and continuous school improvement. Our goal is simple: to equip educators with the tools, coaching, and professional learning they need to create equitable, high-quality learning environments where every student can thrive.

Our Areas of Support

Literacy

Our Literacy Team partners with schools through the READ Act and COMPASS to provide job-embedded coaching, professional development, and structured literacy practices. The focus: advancing literacy outcomes for every student and building educator capacity to deliver engaging, equitable instruction.

Math

The COMPASS Math Team supports educators in deepening their understanding of standards, instructional practices, and accelerated learning strategies. By helping districts align systems and strengthen core math instruction, our team ensures that every student has access to rigorous, grade-level mathematics.

School Climate & Culture

Creating inclusive, safe, and engaging schools is at the heart of our Climate and Culture Team’s work. Using trauma-informed practices, restorative approaches, and non-exclusionary discipline, we help schools foster positive environments where all students feel connected and supported.

Culturally Responsive Leadership

Our team collaborates with school leaders to prioritize equity and inclusion in leadership practices. By guiding school improvement planning and data-driven decision-making, we help leaders implement sustainable, culturally responsive strategies that drive long-term success.

MnMTSS (Minnesota Multi-Tiered Systems of Support)

The MnMTSS Team empowers schools to implement data-informed systems that support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of every learner. This framework strengthens equitable learning environments and helps schools build lasting structures of support.

Special Education & Equitable Access

Focused on dismantling barriers, our specialists provide coaching and guidance to ensure equitable access for historically marginalized students. Working alongside school leaders, we help improve outcomes for students receiving special education services and beyond.

Continuous School Improvement

Our advocates partner with schools identified through the State Accountability System, guiding teams through needs assessments, school improvement planning, and adoption of evidence-based practices—all with a focus on equity and sustainability.
