CTE Innovation Grant
Resource Training & Solutions has partnered with seven other educational service cooperatives and the Minnesota Department of Education to support rural CTE (Career & Technical Education) initiatives within our nine-county region.

Successful applicants from the first round of applications were notified on or before December 22, 2023.
Service Area:
To be eligible for funding, schools must be within Resource Training & Solutions service region (Region 7E). Funds will be prioritized for districts that are full members of Resource Training & Solutions.
Funding:
This application form is for grants of $15,000 or less that provide opportunities for businesses and schools to collaborate in hands-on CTE exploration, exposure, and experiences for students in grades 7 through 12. We reserve the right to offer grant amounts that differ from the applicant’s request, or the maximum identified above. Funds will be prioritized for districts that are full members of Resource Training & Solutions and districts that have not been awarded previous CTE grant funds.
Proposal Criteria:
- Support and engage students to gain greater exposure to careers and/or build work skills through innovative hands-on learning.
- Include the collaboration of at least one school and one or more businesses or industry-related partners.
- Relate to local/regional career opportunities.
Funding requests must be for new project ideas (not meant to support previously funded projects). Grant applications must address each component to be considered complete. Applicants may submit additional information or attachments with the initial application with supplemental information.

- Selection and notification of successful applicants will be no later than TBD.
- The first group of approved applicants must have all funds spent by June 30, 2024.
