Evidence-Based Literacy Training for Paraprofessionals: Regional Support Options

Your Regional Literacy Team is ready to support you in planning and delivering professional learning for your instructional support staff in evidence-based literacy practices.

We have two avenues in which to provide this training:

Train the Trainer

Resource Training and Solutions will partner with districts to train instructional leaders to serve as facilitators for paraprofessional literacy training within their district. This avenue allows districts and schools to support the training of instructional support staff as needs arise.

We have two options for this 2-day Train-the-Trainer within our region:

June 16 & 17th, 2025 8:30-3:00pm ONLINE (synchronous learning)

August 26 & 27, 2025 8:30-3:00 pm at Resource Training & Solutions (in-person)

OR

October 6 & 7, 2025  8:30-3:00 pm at Resource Training & Solutions (in-person)

Please see this one-pager for specific details regarding the Train-the Trainer model.

Resource Training & Solutions Facilitated Training

Our regional team at Resource Training and Solutions is ready to support your district and school instructional support staff through the four, 2–hour modules of the paraprofessional literacy training.

Please reach out to Amber Marsh to establish a professional development plan for the instructional support staff in your district.

Instructional support staff are defined as the following:

Instructional support staff are defined as paraprofessionals who (1) provide one-on-one tutoring if such tutoring is scheduled at a time when a student would not otherwise receive instruction from a teacher or (2) provide instructional support services under the direct supervision of an appropriately certified teacher.

Our regional team is looking forward to collaborating and supporting the schools and districts through this instructional support professional development. Please reach out to Amber Marsh, Regional Literacy Lead, for more information.
