As a Minnesota Service Cooperative, Resource Training & Solutions is providing opportunities to cultivate, collaborate, and grow as a community. NEW to 2023 we are providing professional learning and training centered around resilience and mental health to cities, counties, and other governmental agencies!

Current Offerings

School Resource Officer Network - Register Now!

Receive professional development and collaborate with colleagues across the central MN region. Topics may include but are not limited to: mental health, trauma, autism, self-care + peer support, partnership with Central MN Child Advocacy Center, and critical incident response. A MN POST credit will be offered on multiple dates

  • When: For the ‘23-’24 school year at 9-10:15AM the 3rd Thursday of the month.
  • Where: Virtual, via Zoom

Mental Health Network - Register Now!

This network is designed to provide opportunities to collaborate, share ideas, develop professionally, and stay current on resources to help students be successful in school, at home, and in the community. Resource Training & Solutions will host six network meetings per school year. 

  • For who: School and County mental health related positions such as social workers, counselors, psychologists, probation, truancy, or administration leading efforts in the areas of safety and social emotional learning.
  • When/Where: All meetings will be 9-10:15 AM offered virtually via Zoom.

Trauma- Informed Resilient Schools Training

Understand trauma, how it affects youth, strategies to help build resilience, the importance of proactive + protective factors as well as school/community partnerships to help bridge the gap between the significant needs of youth today and the number of caring adults who know how to support them. This training includes many practical tools to use with all students to have a significant impact on students who’ve experienced trauma. 6 POST credits available.

  • For who: Educators, SROs, SRO supervisors, day treatment providers, law enforcement/social service positions, or anyone who works with youth who’ve experienced trauma and are interested in becoming a Trauma + Resilience Specialist.
  • Completion of full training: Become a Certified Trauma + Resilience Specialist- Education (receive a badge you may use in email signatures), certificate, activity book, and recommended resources.
  • Time/Location: Training is tailored to your needs. Training can be held at your department or at Resource Training & Solutions in Sartell.
  • Length: 6 hour training (can be done on multiple days)

Trauma + Resilience Training - Register Now!

Understand trauma, how it affects youth, strategies to help build resilience, and the importance of protective factors and partnerships to help bridge the gap between the significant needs of youth today and the number of caring adults who know how to support them. This is a condensed version of the Trauma-Informed Resilient Schools training that focuses less on the school setting. To become a Trauma + Resilience Specialist you must complete the 6 hour training. 4 POST credits available.

  • For who: Law enforcement, social services, criminal justice, or anyone who works with youth who’ve experienced trauma.
  • Completion of full training: Become a Certified Trauma + Resilience Specialist- Education (receive a badge you may use in email signatures), certificate, activity book, and recommended resources.
  • Time/Location: Training is tailored to your needs. Training can be held at your department or at Resource Training & Solutions in Sartell.
  • Length: 4 hour training

About the Presenter:

Megan Perry, LSW, Regional Social WorkerCertifications: Trauma + Resilience Trainer, YMHFA Trainer (by end of April), ALICE 2.0 Trainer, School Crisis Response trained (ICISF), Postvention trained.

Megan is a calm leader with a solution focused mindset. She has worked in education since 2014, focusing on mental wellness and resiliency with both students and adults. Megan has worked as a high school social worker as well as in day treatment, residential treatment, and vocational programs.  Designing and facilitating learning experiences that seek to deepen children and adults' understanding of social and emotional life skills allows her to blend her love of systems-thinking with human-centered endeavors and solutions.
